"This book is based on a nineteenth century manuscript describing the recipes of this period, in the city of La Paz. This manuscript includes Creole food of the nineteenth century by the story of a typical family of La Paz in this era. This book contains a variety of recipes, with lots of vegetables and meats, and of mostly modest cost. It also includes the famous recipe Salteñas with its original name "Empanadas de Caldo"."
