The film is developed in a delayed town, Villaserena. One day a company of traveling actors arrives, they manage to alter the peace of the town and to destroy the happiness of Ruperto's home (the richest man of the town) when Celina (his wife) and Gastón (actor) fall madly in love.
After a while arrives Abelardo (Darío Grandinetti) and installs one precarious radio fed by a generator. The four loudspeakers strategically located begin to announce what the town sometimes shut up turning Villaserena into a hell, until their inhabitants decide to end the source of all their problemas.
