DAY 1: SANTA CRUZ - SAN JAVIER – CONCEPCIÓN We visit the villages and various tributary rivers of the Amazon. Arriving in San Javier, the oldest mission founded by the Jesuits (1691). Settled in a landscape of covered hills with dominated forests of aceitera palm trees, named Cusi. San Javier enjoys a subtropical climate pleasant all year. We visit the old church which is recently renovated and we go along the forests and savannas of Concepción. Arrival in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel. At night we will have a regional dinner.
DAY 2: CONCEPCIÓN - SAN IGNACIOIn the morning we visit the church of Concepción and the Mission Museum, where we see the different wooden sculptures made by the Chiquitanos. In the afternoon we continue our trip to San Ignacio, an interesting road to see swamp lakes, thick forests and a variety of wild fauna. Arrival in San Ignacio in the evening. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3. SAN IGNACIO - SANTA ANA - SAN RAFAEL - SAN MIGUEL - CONCEPCIÓN Departure to the most isolated villages of the mission region, where the genuine traditions are still kept alive. We visit the Santa Ana church, which conserves the most the old missionary spirit. We continue on to visit the churches of San Miguel and San Rafael, where we see the diligence of the indigenous Chiquitanos expression in decoration and the precious sculptures serves over there. Return to Concepción and have dinner.
DAY 4: CONCEPCIÓN - SAN JAVIER - SANTA CRUZ After breakfast we go to San Javier where we have lunch and after we drive back to Santa Cruz. Includes: Transport, guide, accommodation, full board, refreshments
